Now that JC is no longer the coach...I wonder when he is going to chip in. I think he can add another zero to the right to the amount the he successor just pledged. He also should be leading the charge to start getting his former players to dig deep into their pockets. He said he wasn't going to do it while he was the coach, but now he's not!

He just gave 1/7 of his yearly- sorry, seven month- salary. Wow. Thanks KO!

Something tells me Calhoun has done just a bit towards seeing the building of that facility. He'll probably donate something if he hasn't already, but he's the last person in the world that owes anything to the advancement of the program.

My guess is that KO appreciates his alma mater at a level few, if any of us can fully comprehend. It is quite possible that everything he has accomplished, everything that he has is due to UConn and its basketball program (primarlily JC) and this is his way of saying thank you. I also believe thaat the $100k was quite a substantial donation considering everything as while he may have earned quite a bit under the standards of boneyarders, I would guess (considering the many ten day contracts) that he has not earned close to what many of his contemporaries have.

This, the character, grace, goodwill that he demonstrates clearly with this gesture is further evidence of the quality of a man our new head coach is.

Every step KO has made since being named coach has been just right.
