Finally somebody gets how good Uconn's defense is. Ken Pomroy may have us listed 10th but I haven't seen any team this year who play's more tenaciously on defense than we do. No traps, no zones, no tricks -- just straight man-to-man, help and recover, in your face, team D.
Let's not discount Florida.
This team gets it, though. They buy into their roles, and they understand that defense is the key. Our secondary offensive players (Daniels, Giffey) weren't great against Michigan State. The defense may have been good on Daniels, but Giffey missed open shots. And Giffey was
wide open. KO mentioned it a couple of times in this interview. Yet, because the defense was so strong, we were able to overcome it.
If only it wasn't true that Florida >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MSU, we might have a chance. Instead, we are DOOOOOOOOOMED.
