She was pleased to win the BE FOY and 6th Man awards, but you could tell that she was not satisfied. She's striving for more. First championship and MOP award tonight. Look for more.

You just might be right. She could win another trophy or two.

I think she read your post the other day...the one where you reminded her that these are the moments when legends are made. She keeps this up and you'll be changing your avatar before you'd planned to. Good Lord we're spoiled! :)

I almost (ALMOST!) feel bad for Muffett, taking that long plane home and realizing that she will have to watch Kaleena at least twice a year for three more seasons. That's without entertaining any thoughts about Bria and Stef (2 more years), Kiah (3), and the trio coming in. Of course, if the plane ride gets bumpy, she can be comforted in the knowledge that she has the face of women's basketball on her side for a little while longer.

Look for Muffett to petition the Big East so that all players must wear uniform numbers no higher than 22. :)

I keep looking forward to the next game and the next game. KML is an amazing scorer. She just scores in ways I haven't seen anyone else can in the women's game. What a nightmare she is to whoever is called upon to defend her.

What was most impressive to me was KML's progression from the first game against ND in South Bend in which she really struggled against ND's tough, physical defense. Last night she was physical and for the most part didn't lose her aggressiveness despite, in CD's words, Mallory "beat[ing] the crap out of her."

Question if anyone knows: are votes for national FOY made before or after conference tournaments? If votes are cast after the tournaments I'd have to believe KML strengthened her case.

Stats of course don't tell the whole story; have to factor in who they both played with and against.

It's definitely a 2-person race. If the tourneys count, Elizabeth's team went 0-1, while Kaleena's went 3-0, as she won the MOP in the nation's best conference.
