KML won the MOP as a reserve - one heck of a reserve, but technically a reserve. Has that happened before? Greene wasn't always a starter, but when she won the MOP in 2010, she started. I don't know all the names like Debbie Beckford to know if she was a starter. Does anyone know?

No, it is unusual. So is Kaleena--unusually good.

Although Diana came off the bench for much of her freshman season she became a starter after Sveta went down for the season. Diana was a starter in the BET.

Charde came off the bench in '08.

Wasn't Charde coming off the bench in '08?
Charde, good answer. Should have remembered that myself. (Not Diana, as noted, she was a starter by then.)

The fact that she did it as a freshman against three teams that are top 15 in Massey, Sagarin, and RPI, including another #1 seed, is especially impressive. The Big East hasn't always been as tough of a gauntlet.
