That's what happens when you leave it to your players to cobble together a defensive strategy.

Don't basketball gurus maintain that defense is dependent on the feet ?

decisions, decisions... which lame joke to use? How 'bout both?

"I've heard of throwing in the towel, but, this is ridiculous!"

"Georgetown is now employing the hokey-pokey defense: you put your left shoe, you put your left shoe out.."

.-.
I think we need to find out what brand of shoe it was.

The best part is the reaction from the shooting teams' bench and the Ref that raised her hand to signal a 3 pt attempt never saw the shoe hit the ball?

.-.
Who was the major league baseball player that threw his glove at a ball that he couldn't catch? It had to be at least 20 years ago.

In baseball throwing anything at the batted ball is illegal I do not know the rule in basketball.

I have watched this about 5 times. Each time, laughing harder.

With todays news this was a nice laugh.

That is the Patriot Missile defense that Army hoops perfected. The coordinates were a bit off this time.

I think it was Boo Ferris who threw the glove, but that is from memory so.......

.-.
I couldn't find anything on Ferris, but did find this;

If you throw a glove and hit a batted ball in baseball the batter and all runners are awarded 2-3 bases depending on circumstances if I recall properly. Too many years.

Is there a penalty if you miss?

There were several incidents where the pitcher could not get the ball out of his glove so he just threw glove, ball and all to the very surprised first baseman.

That is perfectly legal as long as the glove was on his hand when it was caught.

If a player could only master the art of flipping the shoe's right off their feet ( not using hands ) to hit the ball in flight, they would certainly be a " Shoe In" to make their " All Defensive Team".
