Like I said the numbers are not pretty. Was looking for another article that had more detail and over a number of years, but couldn't find it. The issue exists across the country, and I suspect the 'official' reported statistics vary more based on reporting criteria and PR attempts and on seriousness of victim support structure and personnel, than on actual occurrences. Certainly the blind surveys come back pretty uniformly as a straight percentage of population of women who experience assault or rape. Again - the Baylor scandal has only a little to do with raw numbers, the big issue is the cover-up and denial and victimization of the victims. [/QUOTE]
