I don’t want to take tonyc’s job away but he may be busy and we have to get in shape for the opener on Thursday so I’ll start this thread. Today’s winner is Paige. Q’s second half play gets her an honorable mention.

No argument here, but a case could also be made for an HM for Chen. As the season progresses, I think we'll have at least one of Paige or Kaitlyn on the court at all times (except garbage minutes).

This should be the award for anyone not named Paige. I say it's a tie (and I know ties are not allowed, but too bad), I say Chen and Shade. Both were good on offense, excellent on defense. Geno (and me) like defense.

Agree with all, but kudos to Q, who showed why she should get a lot of playing time this year.

The actual highlight for me was finding out who Sarah Strong's mother is, and her connection to the 1998 Harvard upset of Stanford in round 1 of the NCAA tournament (#16 knocks off #1). In addition, mom, Allison Feaster has quite a college and professional resume!

I know that a lot of yarders are opposed to naming our resident superstar to this award, but what kind of player goes 12 for 14 with nine rebounds? The badass kind. It's Paige, and it's not close.

Honorable mention to Shade who looked terrific out there. Chen played very well too.

More than HONORABLE MENTION to Sarah S. who did not play like a first game freshman
year player... NICE! (but also, IMHO, as gratefully expected!)
