Alex, rare mistake on your part. The team with the higher shooting percentage tends to have an advantage in rebounding since 70% of rebounds go to the defensive team. Example: each team takes 50 shots but team A makes 25, team B makes 20. You would expect team A to get 30*70% + 25*30% = 28.5 rebounds. Team B would be expected to get 30*30% + 25*70% = 26.5.True, but UConn shot well: 51.6% to Temple's 21.3% UConn got more defensive rebounds than did Temple, and simply had fewer opportunities for O-boards.
