Stef running the floor! Channeling her inner Tina Charles.

Tiff launches and misses another 3 - seems like we could do better against such a small team. BBanks out ahead on transition and gets another feed for two.

Banks beats everyone down the floor for a layup. She's got 7.

Look closely at Kelly's arms. OMG!

Bria in, with LE, MJ and Kiah - Bria with a couple of very crisp head fakes, the defense bites on one and Bria dribbles to the lane for a midrange J.

Then Bria almost airballs a 3, but Kiah cleans it up.

MJ out on the break, scores, and hits the floor.... I catch my breath until MJ gets up, looks OK (I worry about the knee....)

Kiah Stokes with the evening's first block ..... which is great, but I am wishing for more (Pace is very small).

Buck turns and shoots an open jumper!! But missed ... lol

Kara: "They're just not where he [Geno] wants them to be, on defense, against a team like Pace."

Just sayin'

LOL Kara follows up by saying that during the last time-out, the team had their own huddle because Geno was so angry he didn't even join the huddle

Anyone read lips? What looks to be a student journalist is doing a quick interview with Geno, but we didn't get the audio on HuskyVision. Maybe radio picked it up

Yeah, we look disorganized. But the effort is definitely there. And man, we are athletic! And quick. Stef looks good running the floor, so does MJ. Banks is hella fast, and Kelly and Tiff are great at starting the break.

I would love to see Tiff step up and direct the offense a bit more. Hopefully Doty can add that when she comes back.

Kara saying Geno isn't happy...he said at halftime that Stef is playing great, and no one else is.

We did stop getting the ball in to Stef after the first ten minutes. The offense flows so much better through her, I think. She always makes the right pass. So happy she is only a sophomore! Just think, we have three more years to watch her develop, and she's already one of the top five posts in the country!

They did have a couple of possessions with really good ball movement late in the half, with Stef in the post. She happened to miss the short lay-in inside, but that shot falls 80% of the time. Per Kara--and it is clear on watching, as well--Geno is really not happy with the team defense, overall. I think BBanks has done some good things, and others have too, but the bottom line is this is a Div II team (albeit a top Div II team) with players of 6'0" and under. My observation also is that we're shooting a lot of 3s against a very small team--and they don't appear to me to be sitting back and baiting us to do so. Our guys should be able to take it inside more often on their guys, and not just Stefanie.

Like Geno said after the last game, if our guys don't dominate play against their guys, then "we didn't recruit the right guys". This doesn't mean that a good, quick team with small players can't have some good runs against us and make some shots, but if that's all it was, Geno wouldn't be upset. He's upset. Ergo, it's more than that. We'll see how they look in the 2nd half....

Stef playing GREAT defense , has several blocks already in the 2nd half.

Now Stef posting up , gets the entry pass from Bria, and scores.

Huskies really working hard on D. Multiple steals. Lots more energy ! Stokes with a couple of nice , confident shots also.

46-23 with 16:04 left

A Pace player got the ball in the lane, backed one of our guys down, then dumped the ball down to someone near the basket, for a basket + 1 opportunity. This is with both Stokes and Stef in the ball game. Gotta do better. That was a weak spot in an otherwise improved second half, defensively. Stokes just got another block a minute ago also.
