Coco - Someone (CD?!) at Uconn had screwed up big time and had Nurse as a 2015 recruit so they were taking their time getting in touch. When the light dawned on them that she was a 2014 recruit they jumped in very late to the game and closed quickly.

I don't think you can go up there until you are graduating, so at the earliest Senior Night. Not sure if this is how it always has been, but it seems like the last decade or so you get your banner put up for your Senior Night ceremony.

That's a good question. I was thinking she will likely be an AA her junior year and therefore eligible, but i think you are right - her number won't go up till senior night...

The whole banner idea started mid-2000s (don't remember the exact date) so there was a backlog of banners which went up whenever the former player could schedule to be at a Uconn home game. I don't remember who was the first player who was honored on senior night, but believe it was Renee as she was the first active player after the banners began to be named a first team AA prior to her senior season (the awards come out after the season so in order for it to be done on senior night you have to earn it by the end of your junior year.)

Interesting point - both Moriah and Breanna will be honored this spring, but should Morgan decide not to play her fifth year, she will not be honored though most of us expect her to earn AA status this year (and to have played well enough last year to have earned it if not for her other teammates beating her to the post.)
