Saw an article he committed to the Huskies but could not find any verification.

And if KW ends up in Storrs, @j_slayyy gets an assist in my book. Selling the Program and the Block C to the young man 3 weeks ago.

Central Mississippi Community College:

Tried to find the location of CMCC but only found East Central Community College in Decatur. Probably the same school but East is its formal name.
Not much in the way of cities or towns nearby so it's probably like Storrs where everybody knows you and knows what you're up to.

My guess is that he was not academically eligible, so he went the JUCO route for 2022.

Update -- Kez DM'd me and said that he's going to Holmes for a year because UConn was not offering a full ride, and he is hoping to earn that through a year there, still being recruited by UConn for 2023!

Sounds like he likes and is still focused on UConn, in that case!

not a huge fan of no equivalency scholarships. any idea why they're not allowed?

For Division 1: Football (FBS only) & Basketball (for men); Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics & Tennis (for women) are designated as headcount sports, which means the scholarships can't be divided into equivalencies.

This was done for competitive reasons as a part of limiting the teams to 85 scholarship athletes for football. In the early days prior to the scholarship limits you'd have 150+ man rosters for some schools (the scholarship limit was originally set at 105)

Pitt comes to mind. Majors or Sherrill.
