Take the population of the state and calculate number of professional teams and distance to those teams. So for each resident, we have a high number of pro teams within a very short distance. Taking the big 4 sports plus soccer, there are at least 16 professional major league sports teams within a short drive. That doesn't even include Philly and other nearby locations. If people are fans of those teams, the pro team is going to take priority over UConn football. I don't think any other state has a population as concentrated to so many pro sports teams.
