UCLA might be the team.This is the event that also has UNC, UCLA, and Ohio State? I’d imagine if this were true we’d be replacing one of the B1G teams.
It's a network run event. I'm sure UConn will get invited first. AD/Hurley will have to look at matchups and what the payout is.The KSR guy said it's likely between UConn and St. John's to replace UCLA. If they add St. John's over UConn that would be incredibly annoying and entirely undeserved. And the TV execs will be regretting their decision in 2 years when Pitino is gone and St. John's goes back into the basement.

You aren't wrong, but that's not happening.This one doesn't excite me.
I'd like to see us, rightfully, replace Michigan State in the Champions Classic (if that's the name). How they were chosen, with their one championship, to be part of that event made its title a misnomer. (I know, I know, you could say the plural comes from the number of teams, not each one)

Unfortunately the old MSU AD is the one who created the event. Maybe once Izzo is gone ESPN will give them the boot.This one doesn't excite me.

Did you get it from this article?Heard some rumors on this….
I agree with you but have to give MSU credit for their two titles(1979, 2000). It’s not like they’re Syracuse.

6 = (2+1)×26>(2+1)
I don't see this as a diss. St. Johns won the BE conference last season, so picking them would be understandable.The KSR guy said it's likely between UConn and St. John's to replace UCLA. You know CBS would rather have Kentucky play St John's so they can build up the Kentucky/Slick Rick relationship.Did you get it from this article?

Red Storm podcast reporting this. Not surprised. Rick would travel to Siberia to play his beloved Kentucky Wildcats.
Well, it was nice while it lasted.Did Repole throw some money at CBS too?
