Can't say I'm too surprised. Louisville has been winning but hasn't seemed right to me. So far it's being exposed big time by Kentucky.

Yeah, Louisville was hosed by A&M, and we now see that the Aggies may be a lot weaker than they were last year. So I think this says much more about the Cardinal than KY.

Kentucky is out hustling Louisville.
Louisville is being called for travel a lot.
Schimmel is not looking like a top notch guard.
Bria Smith is playing solid.
I'm not impressed with Hammond.
Mathies is running the show.
Goss is playing hard.

.

Shoni doesn't look to have the level of conditioning and fitness I expected to see after a year in the program.

Kastine Evans (NFA) started and played 32 minutes (9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals). From the ECC to the SEC!

So next question: can Kentucky give the LVs a game, especially at home?

Well, #22 Texas definitely gave the LV's a game in Knoxville today, and the LV's are not nearly as tough on the road, so if #10 KY can't at least keep it in single digits in Lexington, I'd say KY is very over rated.

A bit of a sad note. Hammond apparently made playing close to home a priority. So it is likely that her folks went to the game in Lexington to watch her play nine minutes, commit four fouls and score two points. She does, of course, have three seasons after this one.

The learning curve for a lot of frosh is long and steep. Kids wearing #23 at UConn are among the rare exceptions.

I'm looking forward to this game. After Duke, Kentucky's next tough game is at Notre Dame on Dec 18. The game against ND should be Samarie's first as a Cat.

Yeah, we played like hell! It was an awful game for us after about the 17minute mark. I do believe our girls are better than they are giving... That being said I am surprised we are still in the top 25. our two losses have been really bad losses.

I am still hopeful we will pull it together. There is very good and deep talent. Time will tell.
