Oooo, the poll results so far are actually close for this game. There’s some Louisville non-believers.

Kentucky has looked pretty good so far this year..............time to find out if they are pretenders..............

My biggest interest in Kentucky games is always the Brylcreme and the bald spot; how each is doing.

Actually the man seems to have gone on a health kick and I understand he has been developing his own musical exercise routine.

Come on Geno, gotta keep up! ;)

KEN back in this. Trailing by 3 near the end of the first.

36-29 LOU at the half

Durr 19 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl

Howard 12 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 1 stl

Howard has been very impressive this year for a freshman. Her and Morris need more pieces around them unfortunately.

Wow, KY shows they are for real. Might they challenge for 2nd in the SEC?

Great rivalry game and you can throw rankings out the window when these 2 teams play. That being what it is I came away from this game more impressed with Kentucky. They played #5 Louisville close. Kentucky will get some good SEC wins this season.

I love those AP writers, 'Kentucky figures to drop a few spots in the rankings. ' Why would they lose rank when they lose to a higher ranked team?
It's really stupid logic, but that seems to be the usual pattern. A team will drop even when they lose to a team that by ranking they're expected to lose to. Dumb.

Howard is the real deal. She was super impressive.
I imagine not many watched as it was only on line. The final score does not tell the full story.
Late in the 3rd Q Louisville made a spectacular play to go up 18 points.
What ensued was a ref'ing disgrace. (Obviously, I am biased).
You can read the article below. Jones yelled " Let's gooooooo!" Which she, and many ball players, yell after a great play. You can also see a video on the play, and see that Jones was not yelling at a player, nor a ref.

The lesson, and opportunity for growth for the team, is to not let this kind of play take the wind out of your sails. It clearly did. We got the W, but, it was on pace to be a 18-20 point blow out when this happened.
