Kenny Brooks, JMU, now Virginia Tech's head WBB Coach

Morgan Valley left VT last year to join Washington--she had been an Towson assistant in the JMU(CAA) conference so she knows Kenny. Too bad she left before Brooks took over--I think they'd have been a Bat Man and Robin combination. Kenny took a less than successful JMU team to the NCAA's these past 3 years--he'll do the same at VT in about 3 years.

Have watched JMU over the past few years......Kenny Brooks is an excellent , excellent choice for VT. Knows the Virginia , WV , Maryland area , and the expanded recruiting territory . He should do well if given time.

Could not agree more!! What impressed me with Kenny is how well he treated his players and coaches on and off the floor. By the way--his daughter (a Spotswood HS standout) was allowed to move (prior to being on campus) from JMU to VT to play for Daddy Kenny.
With the bigger school, much much larger budget, he'll have an opportunity to recruit some real talent--although in the CAA he took good and made them much better.

and her importance on the staff could go up with Adia Barnes coming to UofA. Adia was there since McGuff's days.
