(FWIW, a google image search of "Kemba Walker UConn jersey" now leads back to this thread.)

Thanks. So I can trust this site? Can't believe it took a month to ship.

yes, i have bought many jerseys off the site. i’d buy from the sellers with 5 stars and read the reviews because sometimes the jerseys come a little big.

I remember there was one set of official UCONN jerseys made with a last name on the back. It was the old school jersey that said "Connecticut" on the front, in a bending arc. They wore those jerseys a few times for big games. I believe the only name they sold was Hamilton, and it was sold after he left Uconn, as a nostalgia piece around 2008. I want to say that other schools also sold throwbacks with names on them.

Anyone know of people buying blank jeseys and adding numbers and names? If so, was it quality and did the names/numbers last?

Back in the mid 90's, Nike, did in fact, produce a couple of the CONNECTICUT arched font jerseys with players names sewn on the back. The only 2 that I was aware of were Ray Allen and Doron Sheffer, both of which I was lucky enough to obtain, before the NCAA put a halt to jerseys being produced and sold with players names on the back. These things are ultra rare, now, and for the time, the quality was pretty solid. I had a buddy on the inside at Nike at the time, which is how I landed both jerseys..
Unfortunately, I sold both of these in the early days of EBAY to a rabid UCONN fan.....wish that I would have had the brains to have kept them, seeing what slop they have produced in the last few years.

Sorry for the confusion on my end. Before the mid 90's, the only era accurate jerseys produced were made by a company called Speedline PRO PAK, and they only made jerseys that were heat sealed letters and numbers, and no names on the back of the jerseys, just the side gussets were sewn on them. The few UCONN jerseys were of Donyell Marshall and Chris Smith, and no others, that I am aware of.
Champion did have some in the 90's, but nothing close to authentic. You are correct, though, in regards to Nike producing a few of the ones in your picture, and they were of Hamilton, but the CONNECTICUT was arched dramatically, closer to the style worn in the 70's
