"Kemba Walker, he may be the greatest tournament player ever..."

14-0 in single elimination tourney games. MauI, BE, NCAA
He played for a USA team a couple years ago i think in the world championships…and they sucked but I’m not counting that. Kemba is the best tournament player ever for sure!

Best single season in tournament history no doubt.

Laettner best tourney player over the course of his career. Walker #2. IMO

That block on Kentucky at 5:35 is the moment I most remember after the stepback in the BET.

If The Boneyard judiciary system was not in such significant disarray, this post alone could be hanging worthy.

Kemba and the boys took down:
Maui:
#9 Kentucky
#2 Michigan State
Wichita State

BET:
Depaul
#22 Georgetown
#3 Pittsburgh
#11 Syracuse
#14 Louisville

NCAAT:
(14)Bucknell
(6)CIncinnati
(2)San diego State
(5)Arizona
(4)Kentucky
(8)Butler

Arizona was a #17 seed going into the tournament
San Diego State was a #6 seed going into the tournament
Kentucky was #11 seed going into the tournament.

Very impressive. Best single season tournament player ever.

You must not have watched much of the 2011 run if you think Olander's or Giffey's rings amounted to anything more than participation trophies.

The legend of Kemba Walker only grows though time. As it should! What a blessing that he attended UConn.

I think what makes Kemba Walker special is not just what he did on the field which was absolutely amazing for those of us that witnessed it. But its his humble personality off the field and his story that truly give him the edge over other players.

Uh, Danny Manning on line one, would like a word…
I'm biased in favor of both of them, but neither Danny nor Kemba had the cast around them that Laettner did. But CL had a hell of a career for sure. KU did not win the Big 8 tournament though. They also effectively played the final four at home. Manning averaged 27.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and two steals per game. Had 31 points, 18 rebounds and five steals in the final.
