13 pts 7 rebounds while only getting 20 minutes. Kemba's gonna get his as the season goes on.

Kemba played a big role in that victory. For a guard, he rebounds exceptionally well. I think his biggest attribute in the NBA is going to be his effort. A lot of guys, especially the older ones, take plays off and don't bring it every night. Kemba goes hard every play of every game. 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists tonight (Should have been more assists but the Bobcats missed a bunch of makeable shots). The most telling statistic is the seven rebounds. Kid has a great nose for the ball and attacks the boards harder than anybody else on the court.

Next challenge: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Heat. It would be great to see Wade or James on Kemba for part of the game. I've always wanted to see if Kemba could get his shot against LeBron.

Augustin's ankle injury is something to keep an eye on. It didn't look too serious, but it might cause him to miss a couple games...in which case Kemba would certainly get the start.

In any event, that was a really nice debut for Kemba. Not only did he help spark that comeback and make a lot of little plays (that defensive play to stop an easy, fastbreak layup), but his coaches already have the confidence to play him in the final minutes of a close games. That's very, very rare for a rookie.

He might not shoot a great percentage for a couple years, but Charlotte fans will find out quickly that he's just a player.

Jennings had scored 6 straight, plus assisted on the next 3 against Augustine. Kemba came in, and shut him down, secured the most important rebound of the game, an made the FT's to seal the deal. It was pure Kemba.

Even with his shooting off, he will do well. Looks like his ability to draw fouls and snag rebounds have translated very well for him in the NBA.

And to think he was not BE Player of the Year!!!!!!!!!! Great advertisement for us -- a 21 year old New Yorker with a degree in 3 years time. You can still play in the Garden if you come to South Eagleville, even if it's not every game, and you get to see the cows and have fresh ice cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
