Kemba on the Knicks

Knicks won so no biggie. It was a back to back where Kemba normally wouldn't have played at all if Knicks at full strength. The Knicks starters have played a ton of mins last 5 games with the bench mostly out with Covid.

The starters including Randle, Kemba , Robinson didn't have legs tonight so Thibbs smartly went with Bench for final 18 mins. The bench was well rested and fully capable of beating depleted Pistons.

Definitely not concerned about Kemba, Randle on the other hand...

When all we're talking about is showing how bad the starters were, it does. Of course it doesn't mean they were outscored by 116 points, but plus minus is one of the more basic basketball stats out there so didn't think that needed to be said

Kemba has still got game-even if its offensively-oriented.. Plenty of NBA teams need O from the PG/CG position..

Check out the +/- for the Knicks players in the box score tonight. All of the starters are about - 25 and the reserves off the bench are all + 30's. The reserves played the 4th quarter and won the game.

Looks like the end of the road for Kemba on Knicks, for the rest of this season at least. Makes sense for the Knicks with season pretty much done and D Rose due back soon. Sad it didn't work out for Kemba in NY ....at least he had a couple of great games but mostly a bad fit.

Speculation with expiring contract this summer the Knicks will find a trade partner for him and maybe he can ride out on a good note elsewhere.
