Houston's Kelvin Sampson has agreed to a new contract that will make him one of the highest-paid college basketball coaches in the country, according to multiple reports. Sampson, fresh off a Sweet 16 appearance with the Cougars in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, will reportedly earn around $5 million annually in the revised contract -- up from $3.4 million he was scheduled to make. That will place him among the top 10 highest-earning coaches in the sport, ahead of names like Mick Cronin (UCLA) and Bob Huggins (West Virginia).

How did Sampson "destroy" Indiana? They stunk when Mike Davis got fired and he immediately put them back in the tournament. He wasn't even there 2 years before he got in trouble for things that don't even register as inappropriate these days.

Yes- now pretty much anything goes.
When Sampson was at IU and Oklahoma he bent the rules whenever possible. He was banned from coaching college for 5 years.
IU has had a lot of bad hires over the years-like UConn football. Seems like veterans Mora and Woodson can turn things around.
