Every time I read or watch anything about Kelly Oubre I can't help but think we NEED to add him ASAP. From everything I've read here or anywhere else, I get the idea that UConn is really after this kid. What are the chances he commits? If so, when do we think it will happen?

need to get him on campus for a visit before we can talk about committing, I feel if KO gets him on campus he will wrap it up. Its going to be interesting to see who visits first b/w him and Hill, seems like those are the last two guys for another wing spot that the staff has placed as a priority, although Oubre is now priority #1.

He still has a long list of suitors and no timetable for when he'll decide. We seem to be in good shape for now, but it's tough to say how long his recruitment will drag out.

It seems he has grown a few inches over the last year, but still has maintained guard skills. His ranking by the recruiting sites is not super high, but it appears he will end up being a top 15 or 20 player by the end of his high school career. It also appears that the ranking will be based off of both potential for college and pro production. It can be frustrating to get a highly ranked guy who is highly ranked because of pro potential and jumps after a year or two without having done much in college. (and I would NOT put Drummond in this class. A lot of players did a lot less in their careers before jumping). I can definitely see why Oubre is the top priority. It seems like hill is more a scoring guard, where as Oubre is a player that will be able to come in a help out at the 2 and 3 his freshman year and may be able to play some 4 as an upperclassman if he stays for multiple years. I would take any of our top 10 targets right now regardless of position or ranking.

This is the time of year we start talking about players like they are a must get for us and in past years we seem to have landed kids that were off the radar- or at least off the Boneyard radar.
It will be interesting to see if KO process turns out to be different then JC's - at least from the standpoint that the well known and highly regarded names on his list are the players we wind up with- or we here a name out of left field (like Boat and Bazz).
Guess we will have to wait at least until Friday to know who is next.

Hill attends St. Thomas Moore correct? Seems like the closer distance would be easier for him to visit where as Oubre is in Texas.
