Katie Lou on Syracuse

Lou just sticks up her hands and hopes the shot doesn't go in. It often does, because no one fears that she's going to go after the block. She's too afraid of fouling, but she should be getting blocks or better disruptions against outside shots. She's such a terrifically physical player in taking charges and in her drives (which have fallen off recently). Just wish she'd take more chances in rebounding and in shot disruption.

I like it! Oh, I guess I already indicated that.

The report shortchanged UConn by five points. It said the Huskies beat Albany by 56 points.

Couldn't agree more with everything you said, except I could care less if Lou ever gets another rebound. Her value to the team is not rebounding and never will be.

It's hard to remember sometimes that Lou is still a sophomore. She'll learn.

I'm surprised "JustinesGuy" hasn't weighed in yet on the video. Perhaps he'll watch it 20 or 30 times prior to commenting.

Thanks, Nan, for reminding some of us that KLS is continuing to evolve and get better. She's shown a lot more facets to her game this year and will continue to improve and grow. I think a lot of people don't remember the differences in Breanna's game from her sophomore year to her senior year and think of her only in terms of the player she's become. She played an interior position (unlike Katie Lou) and wasn't very much of a rebounder at a similar time, even though her position on the court suggested she needed to be. She also didn't have to defend quicker players on the perimeter, as KLS has to and shot blocking opportunities on the perimeter are somewhat scarce for anyone playing out there.

KLS will do her thing - raining 3"s upon the Cuse! She will then change it up with a few of those almost unstoppable curls for 2 at the foul line. Finally a couple of drives to the hoop. Who ever is guarding Lou will have a massive headache before this game is over.

And do not be surprised if Lou has a new wrinkle she has been working on - rebounding!

The self-proclaimed "best backcourt in the country" is about to face the best team in the country. Team > backcourt.

Syracuse is about to have a bug/windshield moment, which is about how long they will last tonight.
