Hard to believe that Kristine Anigwe has not made the WBCA team during her career. Definitely was disadvantage by playing on the West Coast and at Cal. From her Cal Bio.
  • 3x WBCA All-America Honorable Mention (2016, 2017, 2018). Haven't seen the list of Honorable Mention, but I'm sure Anigwe is on the list.

9 of the same 10 as the AP first and second teams with the exception being Lou instead of Anigwe.

The girls in the photo next year will almost all be new. Sabrina is the only junior, and she might not even be there next year. I'm excited to see who steps up next season

That's 2 Liebermans for Sabrina. Diana, Skylar, and Moriah also have 2. If Sabrina comes back, she can tie Sue with a third Lieberman.

Nice list! Add 1 (or 3) more.

I think Slocum is draft eligible too, based on her age. Has she announced?

Geesh, I told Arike to either wear her platform high-tops and/or not stand next to Teaira. Man, that's the tall and short of it.

Congrats to one and all. Well-played.

The deadline to declare has passed for everyone not still playing in the tournament.

The only possible early entries are thus Ionescu and Young.

Ok, thanks. I know that Mangakahia is staying. Is Slocum 22 this year? If so, what did she decide? Do you know where the list of those declaring is?

Interesting that Geno told them of this honor before they headed to Tampa.

“Coach (Geno Auriemma) told us before we left on the trip here and I was extremely excited,” Samuelson said. “I didn’t know I was going to make this team so this is the sweetest of all of them. I’m proud that I was able to get this opportunity.”

“I learned this year that when things go wrong it’s easy to hang your head and go with the negative stuff,” Samuelson said. “But you need to stay positive and work through everything. I think I did that.”

Samuelson is the fifth UConn player to be named to the WBCA at least three times joining Svetlana Abrosimova (1999-2001), Diana Taurasi (2002-04), Maya Moore (the only four-time selection, 2008-11), and Breanna Stewart (2014-16). She is fifth on UConn’s all-time scoring list with 2,322 points and second in 3-point baskets with 379.

“It’s amazing to be mentioned with those names,” Samuelson said. “And to have played with Stewie and to have watched those other guys play, it’s a blessing to be at this University.”

Samuelson, Collier honored

Not for me! Her team has been mediocre at best for 4 seasons. She never made a Sweet 16.

Durr had no business winning over KLS. KLS was better than her in all 3 shooting %s. KLS despite being selected to the WBCA AA team for a no-brainer 3rd time heads the all-national under-valued team and is joined by: L. Cox, A. Howard, J. Young, M. Mabrey & HM S. Sabally, S. Fuehring. And, then there's the all national over-valued team: A. Durr, Arike O., A. Smith, M. Gustafson, B. Carleton.

You know what I have come to realize, is that people love love love the player that can create their own shot. Besides being a bit better with their dribble, because of their size (not 6'3") I have to tell you I am not sure what you can say that either of them do better than KLS... None are a defensive stopper but from an effort perpective I don't think they compare from the games I have watched. Passing is not close either, and its not just assists. Her rebounding was better. I guess all this to say is I think she should have made at least 2nd team on those other squads if one or both of Arike or Durr made 1st/2nd teams.
