I'd just like to add to the many astute and enthusiastic comments here that I think Lou's greatest talent (at the moment) is her passing. This comes from her court vision and her understanding of where everyone is. When you look at the replay of the Temple game, note the way Lou snaps off passes and also makes soft tosses into the post. Remember when Lou found Stewart racing down the lane and gave her a perfect pass enabling Bre to lay it in? IMO what we're seeing is the germination of the seed that was always there. I was accused before the season of "loving Lou too much." Now it seems we're all tugging our forelocks and scuffing our shoes and California dreaming.

I agree with huskyd about the passing. I compared her to Magic Johnson above. In fact, what impressed me most in her true break out game (against Memphis) are the couple passes that misfired: she was passing to where she thought her teammate SHOULD be to get the best shot (like O, the Cooz, Magic and Isaiah). Time will tell if they can adjust to this higher court vision or whether Lou has to save that gift for the WNBA.

I'd like to add another consideration for discussion, because I am really puzzled here. Watching both on TV and in person, it's clear that often Lou sets up low on the right side of the post, extending and waving her left hand for the ball, with obvious superior positioning and height mismatch. Not once has anyone passed her the ball. So, either it's a coaches' strategem to draw weak side help there and then swing the ball quickly to the other side, or her teammates don't yet trust (or see?) her down low. I'd love to see what she can do in the low post against a mismatched defender, not least because I think she could use more physical play.

Sorry, Baroloboy. Natalie will not sit until cleanup minutes. You already have one injured player who hopefully will be better with some rest. Natalie needs to play to be able to give Breanna a break. Breanna playing without Morgan means she will get knocked around even more. Natalie can bang bodies with the best of them and keep Breanna from getting beat up before the tournament.

Must say based on tonight's performance--19 minutes and 20 points---you might be right. On the other hand everything after the first quarter tonight was clean up time.

You grow Nebbiolo? That's a tough grape outside the Piemonte and Lombardy. Hats off to you!

This was in today's Courant. Funny picture, like Lou's surprised she's got a rebound (hey, she did manage to get one foot off the ground!)
