I have 5 seats at Gampel and couldn’t give my 3 extras away.

Have to think if we play local schools we sell out for these buy-games.
Only way to sell out is to lower the prices. $500 to $1750 on both promenade sides is too much for a college basketball game. I mean imagine if a regular high school basketball game charged just one 10th of that, the gym would be empty. I could buy a brand new 4k tv and watch the game at home for less than the price of one ticket.

You give me tickets to the next game and I will buy you enough beers to get wasted. :)

Although the watered down stuff they sell at games is tough to get wasted on. We'll have to down a few real beers in the parking lot before the game.
I’m trying to dial it back this year. I really only let it fly for weekend games. However @August_West has a keen ability to sneak nips of tequila in wherever he goes, maybe we all should take that route instead of paying $17 for a sub-tier IPA from Kinsmen or Two Roads. A beer that likely reeks of Citra and Mosaic, trailer park hops of the beer world.

I don't get the complaints on ticket prices. I got 2 from the Ticket Exchange at $12.50 apiece. They were even cheaper on the secondary

This was probably the cheapest game left on the schedule for Gampel

Market value was < $20 even for lower bowl. I think people are complaining about UConn setting the starting price astronomically high for all of the games, especially lower bowl.

Here is a fact. I have been to 4 final fours to include the last two….we always have the smallest turnout in the stands and in the student section. If I’m being honest the student turnouts for the two Final 4s has been embarrassing. I think DH and players try to really sell how committed the base is but is not proven through the ticket sales at home or in the final four. Good on DH, he is winning g Championships but Championships don’t built culture. We are all a little spoiled by recent success…I’m all in on AKs words
Most schools don't sell out their student ticket allotment for the F4. Bama and NC State also didn't this year. UNC didn't for their last championship. Also doesn't help that the last two F4 are so far from CT. Put it on the East Coast and turnout would be much better

Turns out it's hard for broke college students to travel across the country in such short notice

the crowd looked 95% full last night in the first half which IMO is pretty damn good for this type of game.

I am not questioning what you are saying is true. Where did you find that specific information about student ticket allotment and the sales of that allotment?

It was on Purdue's student paper. They said Purdue was the only school that sold its entire allotment of tickets but in the title of the article they only dragged us for it

I think Hurley knew he had a very good team going into the last two years. Not sure how far in advance scheduling occurs. Knowinh we had a team of this caliber we could have replaced this and one of NH or Sacred Heart with an A10 program such as Umass. A little better but completely winnable with our talent. Just glad the schedule ticks up now and we can put this to bed.

By the way I am going to Texas and do not have tickets yet and gor any sideline seats on secondary market I will be paying 1000 for two tickets. A littlw crazy.

This is a nothingburger. The arena was mostly full last night. Tremendous student turnout. The program is in a great position, generating alot of income, fans are supporting it, and season tickets are sold out. This is the second golden age of the program, enjoy it.

Yeah, I'm surprised Karaban said anything. Cupcake games are never completely full seats for any team and UNC and UK haven't even been selling out. At least we have
