They're from the same town as my buddy and the entire family always stood in front of my friend and his family at church back in the day. He always said the dad was 6'10 and it's a family of giants. The things you remember.Might as well digress to make this relevant to the Men's board. Kara's dad, Willie Wolters was a force on the blocks for Boston College (gag) in the 1960's. Dec 10th 1966 they beat UConn 87-69 then they knocked us out of the ncaa tournament on March 11th, 1967 48-42 before they got beat in the East regional finals by North Carolina. Toby Kimball was gone but Bill Corley was the center and Penders & Wes in the back court with Holowaty. I lived and died with radio broadcasts at the time. "Stops, Pops, Swish" (Was it George Erlich?) Wolters scored 7 pts in the ncaa game. Clearly Willie felt terrible about doing us badly and sent us Kara to make up for it. The books say he was 6'8 but I always remembered 6'10 that I prefer. There, now Kara is connected to men's BBall and the thread can stay?
Thanks for the story, I liked it.Right. We all needed to hear your boring story of how you didn’t recognize a 6’10” Lady Huskies icon.
I guess, I mean if he was an All American who had won a NCAA championship, a WNBA championship and an Olympic gold medal, then sure, great comparison.I always thought Wolters had the same game as Chief from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

You were on quite a roll there until you got to Swin. Her full name is Swintayla.Yes, she's much taller than 6'
Not sure why anyone bashes our women. My favorites include Sue, Diana, Maya, Brianna, Swinlanda, Jen, Rebecca, Kara..... and many more, too many to name. Great ambassadors for the school, and I enjoy watching them win Olympic Gold every our years.
Why, and who are the other two?
I traveled last year and Rebecca Lobo was sitting at the gate right across from me. Then I got on the plane and she was sitting in the seat directly in front of mine. I'm a huge UConn Women's hoops fan. I left her alone.
Dad was Willie Wolters, played for BC.They're from the same town as my buddy and the entire family always stood in front of my friend and his family at church back in the day. He always said the dad was 6'10 and it's a family of giants. The things you remember.

Diana is still lighting up the W at age 40 (and shares my birthday). Legend. She came in as a lunk. Improved incredibly.

They crushed Stanford on April 1. Beat Tennessee on April 2.I believe when the Women won in 1995, they played the semifinal and final back to back with no day of rest. That must have been especially tough for Kara.
Kara dominated the Stanford game. I think she had 32 points and we won by about that margin. They crushed Stanford on April 1. Beat Tennessee on April 2.
Deepster is like this on the cess pool only infinitely worse. Everyone hates him.You weren't under any obligation to read the post.

Any chance are you referring to Diana’s cockiness? That always brought a smile to Chief’s face because it was part of Diana’s winning formula, but I get why it might offend some well meaning Casual Fans.Let's hear about the 1% then!
Tamika is one of Chief’s favorites. She came in as a lunk. Improved incredibly.

I lived in Hilltop. Rebecca Lobo would always hang out with Paul Duckworth in the cafeteria. I always left her alone too. This is a story about a little girl that plays basketball meeting a basketball HOFer. Kara was very kind. I am not a women's basketball fan at all. I hope the 6th title improves your outlook, since it can't help your judgment.I traveled last year and Rebecca Lobo was sitting at the gate right across from me.
