Kansas Post Game Thread

Nice win in hostile environment without Reed and with mediocre point guard play. Now I see why everyone was so high on Mullins. Good shooter who plays defense and had some clutch rebounds and FTs to ice the game. Reibe had good game and Solo had a good offensive game.

This game helps cure my football related negative mood.

Well Mullins as advertised. So much to like but those two free throws first two of his CBB career and he no doubts both of them. And he can clearly play the three he looks every bit of 6’6” and he can rebound.

Reibe again gets better learning how not to foul.

Alex is going to benefit so much with Mullins on the floor.

Yup this team was constructed so much better than last year. I think the staff bailed it with this team.
if Silas can become the player we expected, then watch out.

really hoping he can gain confidence during our conference schedule. that talent is there so just seems mental at this point.

I think Council is one of the quickest/fastest players I’ve ever watched. Frankly I give credit to Silas for limiting his TOs to 3 in 29 minutes. Played strong defense including a tie-up that turned out to be huge down the stretch. He’s for real, despite the goldfish-term memory of many in the chat.

Mullins with the big BALLS.

Most impressed with the rebounding in the 2nd half. AK showed up there and Reibe was great on the boards.

Malachi started the comeback and then didn’t really play, weird because Silas was a complete no show, but we won so who gives a damn.

Solo hit some shots in the second half, boneheaded decision on the last 3 though.

Ross gave energy, needed that because we were stagnant and Stewart didn’t show up.

That’s gonna a huge win for seeding, Kansas is gonna be good.
Yep, i wish Hurley kept Malachi in. Same for the Arizona game at the end.

Controlling the boards was huge and I'm surprised we were able to do it. I like what Ross is giving us this season, I wish Jaylin could find his role.

So happy with that win.

.-.
I tried to tell you all about Mullins. The dude competes. He’s not some scrawny kid who is going to get pushed around. He’s smart, tough and has moxie. His shots won’t always go in - but he brings a ton to the table.

(Sorry, sorry - just one of those times I love being right).
I loved that fade away jumper after driving in from the foul line. That was a thing of beauty.

You've posted this enough times now that I'm pretty sure this isn't trolling and just one of the dumbest opinions possible. Impressive

I'd wager Reed Jr won't be listed as "GTD" the rest of the season.

What a game!

Mullins and Reibe.....so composed down the stretch.

Ball a solid game, other than a bad 3 point attempt early in the shot clock with us up by 6, where Kansas hit a 3 on the next possession.

Alex with some big plays as well in the final 3 minutes.

UConn nation...we sleep well tonight.

Mullins and Reibe the story for me. Frosh creating value and showing they can handle a tough environment. Kansas was hot in the first half but they aren't a great team. We were generally pretty flat but hung in there and got the W. Good night except for the constant Kansas worship by the announcers. Get healthy and we'll find our groove.

There was no reason to take him out and certainly no reason to keep him out. But we won so who gives a darn.

Demary needs to do some soul searching. terrible game from him when he should be one of our leaders in a tough environment.

he continues to play too passive and deferential. not stressing the defense at all with the ball in his hands, just looking for the next person to pass to.

4 reb, 4 assists, one steal. Not great, but not at all bad.

First victory period against them.

Can't be more impressed with Reibe. Two A+ games in a row from that kid, in a tough place to play. I'm through the moon with how good he's looked.

And yes on Mullins - he's what this team has been missing.
That’s the 5th time we played Kansas. We’re now 1 win and 4 losses. Of the 5 games played, how many were played in Kansas?

Silas will eventually get it, and when he does, this team will be unstoppable. Late January is my guess for when he settles in.

Malachi needs to start practicing his 3s. They are sagging off of him a lot.

He plays excellent ball D and he rebounds too. He’s awesome.

I like how the Kansas board is more interested in taking shots at Hurley than praising the defense of their players. We were getting mismatches, but it seems like we struggled to get the ball to the mismatched players.
