Kansas Post Game Thread

The team won because of the production of Riebe and Mullins. Reed, Stewart and Ross are now free to earn their place coming off the bench and contributing as they can. But the future is now.

Well Mullins as advertised. So much to like but those two free throws first two of his CBB career and he no doubts both of them. And he can clearly play the three he looks every bit of 6’6” and he can rebound.

Reibe again gets better learning how not to foul.

Alex is going to benefit so much with Mullins on the floor.

Yup this team was constructed so much better than last year. I think the staff nailed it with this team.

When Mullins goes up for his jump shot, kind of reminds me of NBA Jam from the 90s with guys jumping way off the court…. feels like he’s flying halfway towards the rafters.

Oh and after tonight, it’s still 6-4 ! suck it chickens !

Really minor but there was a play with like 11 and change that I thought really showed Ross’ growth this year. He was the on-ball defender at the top of the 3 point line and ball handler fumbled the ball a bit. Last year there is a 100% chance he tries to go for the steal and fouls or gets off-balance and gets burned. This time, calm and in control, just played good defense and possession ended with either a turnover or a bad look. He’s so much less excitable defensively this year and it’s really improved his D.
