Why are we traveling to play at Kansas again? Is this part of a new home and home agreement?

Btw, i saw a snippet on their board that Darryn Peterson may play on Tuesday. Even if true, not sure how his minutes and game condition would be. In any case, will not be an easy one.

Here, read this. It answers all of your questions.

Excited for this one as it's really our only road test, so will be good to see how this group responds in what is maybe the hardest place to play in the country. I'm also expecting this one to be close, so gonna be curious to how they execute in a close one on the road.

I think you'd think we'd run the Thunder
Nope.

Kansas is not actually good this year imo. Taris and Mullins second game back. Off of minutes restrictions. Reibe confidence at an all time high. Solo due. Peterson rusty(if he plays). They won’t be able to score with us. Hurley revenge game in Lawrence. UConn +15. Statement game.

I think you’re underestimating them - better than the last two years, with DP. Just beat a Tenn team that beat Houston, without DP. This will be a tough game in PA as that place will be rocking.

I don’t want to go down this rabbit hole but just know I’m not a Houston fan this year either lol.

North Carolina beat them by 13 with DP. Duke beat them by 12. You have a good point with the Phogg being a factor. I just like our momentum.

Should be fun regardless. Unless we lose haha

Man I don't like when you do this. It just feels like you're spitting in the face of the basketball gods.

Is there a possibility that UConn beats Kansas by 15+ at Allen? I suppose anything's possible but it feels like a highly unlikely outcome.

They have the best home court advantage in college basketball. I don't know if Peterson plays or not but you're talking about arguably the best player in college basketball and the first pick in the draft if he does. Even without Peterson Bidunga is a load. Is Tarris going to go from the guy who gutted out a few minutes yesterday to 100% on Tuesday? Maybe. Tre White has been very good. Tiller is a really talented player. Council has been a good distributor. And they're very well coached. The notion that they're "not actually good" and we're just going to go into Allen Fieldhouse and run over them seems silly.

Yall said this same thing when I said I didn’t think SJ was that good. Phogg is a factor. However I think we’re THAT much better. They struggle to score. DP hasn’t played in 2 weeks +. They’re a fringe top 25 team. The basketball Gods don’t care. I promise there’s a Kansas fan saying they’ll win. We’re even lol

It's funny with the Pitino call - you end up just thinking he's smart enough to scout and get the right guys in, not leave glaring holes in the roster. He ends up getting no PG's, we get two. A kid like Smith would have been perfect for what they want, a gritty NYC PG that plays tough nosed D. The interesting thing with him, is that his team farted out prematurely last year because they couldn't score. So he swings to the FAR opposite end thinking that will work. Frustration selections or strategical? Like you, now after seeing them, I honestly don't think they'll be as good as last year.

Zubi doesn't feel like he's blending quite as well with this group - last year he had multiple PGs to throw him solid entries.

He made the same mistake Hurley did last year. He thought he could turn copper into gold.

And his believers bought it

Kind of right - but in Hurley's case, it was rushed overconfidence. In Pitino's case, it was frustration thinking he needed a bunch of guys who could score/shoot. The most concerning part here is that as good an athlete as he's recruited, they don't defend.

Isn’t that obvious by now? 0-3 against ranked teams and probably outside the top 25 come Monday. Only way they get another 2 seed this year is if they sweep UConn and win the BET which ain’t happening.

They beat 17. Tennessee

They have Ole Miss at home and at UK left.
Not a lot to build the resume.

I actually want Peterson to play. Not because of the “we want to beat them at their best” argument but because Kansas has been playing well without him. Maybe he disrupts that momentum.
