doesn't sound serious though...

Per John A twitter:

jaltavilla You know what, it looks like #GenoAuriemma is going to sit #KML. She has her warmups on. If so, 21 minutes, five threes, 21 points, 4 steals
jaltavilla There was a reason #KML played only two minutes in second half. She injured her left calf. Had ice on it after game and boot by her side
jaltavilla #KML says its not serious, never had any problem with calf before
jaltavilla The #UConnwomen team sang to her and made her skip around the room. "It's guess it's a tradition around here," #KML said. "It is." :D

Ok, she played half a game and hit 5 threes. That's 10 threes per game for 156 games for 1,560 threes. Dee's record is 323. That would also be 4,680 points. Maya had 3,036.

I'm kidding, but seriously, I think the 3-point record is in serious jeopardy.

I think you're right about that....

Am I really crazy to think this lady will be a perpetual starter?

I don't know if she is the best player on the team, but she might just be. She came with outstanding smarts, great experience, terrific skills, and a new level of conditioning. And apparently no fear.

She will probably be the best "sixth man" in the country.

Per Rich, Geno got the needle out....

The injury does not appear to be serious. UConn head coach Geno Auriemma, of course, had some fun at the expense of Mosqueda-Lewis following the game.

"At halftime Rosemary came over and said that she had told her that she felt like she pulled something in her calf, but that she (said) that Kaleena said, `I think I can play in the second half.’ I was trying to think of when she did it, but I don’t remember it. I never did see her cut like really hard. So I asked her did she really cut hard one time and she hurt it? She said, `Yeah, that’s when it must have been.’ But I never saw her cut. And then I asked her when the kid blocked her shot she hurt it when she tried to get out of the way so the ball didn’t hit her in the head. I figured one of those two instances is when it happened. But I didn’t see it.’’

Ha! Shades of Maya. He was always ripping on her for not cutting to the basket.

Orange County girls can play ball. Former UConn recruit, and now Stanford Freshman, Bonnie Samuelson hit 5 of 7 three pointers in only 10 minutes of play.

Kaleena tweaked her calf in the second half.

She really tweaked Assumption in the first half. :)
