Per Rich, Geno got the needle out....

The injury does not appear to be serious. UConn head coach Geno Auriemma, of course, had some fun at the expense of Mosqueda-Lewis following the game.

"At halftime Rosemary came over and said that she had told her that she felt like she pulled something in her calf, but that she (said) that Kaleena said, `I think I can play in the second half.’ I was trying to think of when she did it, but I don’t remember it. I never did see her cut like really hard. So I asked her did she really cut hard one time and she hurt it? She said, `Yeah, that’s when it must have been.’ But I never saw her cut. And then I asked her when the kid blocked her shot she hurt it when she tried to get out of the way so the ball didn’t hit her in the head. I figured one of those two instances is when it happened. But I didn’t see it.’’
