Hope it was mutual.Unfollowing after a Uconn visit? I guess the visit didn’t go so well
Agree. Total superstar.sorry to hear of this. I thought Kaleena would've been great at UCONN
If she's not coming to UCONN, I'll take 'GG'She's not coming to UConn, Ladies and Gents. Unfollowing the team page after a visit is not what you do if you have interest. I just hope she stays out West and doesn't go to South Carolina!
and he is.........Somehow the notion has gotten about that Kaleena is another Paige in the making. This could not be farther from the truth. She is a brilliant scorer, often rescued her team in close games, and is very quick on her feet, though she can fall asleep on defense. But she doesn't appear to have the same team mentality Paige had in high school. If anything, she seems more like MoJeff, though even this comparison isn't perfect. I understand she's not interested in UConn, and I'm not surprised. Personally, if I were Geno, I'd be more interested in the opposing guard who shut her down when their teams played: Kate Harpring.
You mean when Harpring shut her down to 37 points? Harping got 28. I would be happy with either.Somehow the notion has gotten about that Kaleena is another Paige in the making. I agree, however Auriemma certainly thinks she would fit in and let her handle the ball at UConn since he offered her as a freshman.I equated KS to Paige years ago in that they both were incredibly skilled from a young age......KS is a scorer plain and simple.......she is also a deft passer but not in Paige's class......I'd say she's headed to a program that will allow her to monopolize the ball and that sure isn't UConn....
I'm sure he'd love to have her but only if she was willing to conform to the UConn system........I just don't see her wanting to play the kind of selfless team ball that Geno demands......I agree, however Auriemma certainly thinks she would fit in and let her handle the ball at UConn since he offered her as a freshman.
Not so sure about that. I've watched a lot of her games and she seems like a pretty bright and unselfish distributor to me. Her skills and vision are off the charts and she generates an awful lot of good shots for her teammates. I think her decision will be more geographical. Too much money, fan support and family ties for her to need to leave the L.A. area. If a west coast kid or her parents weren't a UConn fan from the start, the UConn history doesn't mean a whole lot to them.I'm sure he'd love to have her but only if she was willing to conform to the UConn system........I just don't see her wanting to play the kind of selfless team ball that Geno demands......
I don't know if this means UConn is still in the running...because we know she visited.
