What a great game for her. I think she's relieved.

Great all around game by KML Contributed in all facets of the game.

She practically honey-badgered Crawford for a defensive rebound late in the game.

Great all around game by KML<shooting was a joy> A Excellent game by the entire team! All facets of the game. GT is a tough/physical defensive team and we scored 80 and easily could have been more! Our D held them to the 38 pts and 25% shooting. We lead the nation in D shooting. Geno's desire for 7,8,9 players is coming along.Excellent KML 10-16 23 pts 6Rbs 4Assts 2 Sts Great stats all around Also this kind of game lets CD especially rest

What I liked was seeing her step inside the 3 point line to shoot early in the game. I think making the 2 early mid range shots pumped her up for the rest of the game.

I'm surprised that I haven't seen any mention here of KML's slump breakout game today. She looks to have her shot back on - its a thing of beauty when those long 3's hit only the bottom of the net :)

A lot of stuff involving several of the players that had evaporated reappeared in the second half of today's game. The second half looked for all the world like Huskies basketball, including "Special K" (love that, thanks LaChina!) making her shots..

It may be premature to celebrate the end of her shooting slump. She was only 3-9 from 3 today, although otherwise her game was great (6-6 from inside the arc, plus rebounds and assists).

I thought it was interesting that she acknowledged hitting the freshman wall, but seemed determine to work her way through it.

The high arc was back on her shot. She was shooting 3's with her spine spot-on vertical. If you want to go back and look carefully at her motion, see 12:56 and 11:22 of the 2nd half. They are perfect shots.

We went to the game and than I watched the replay on SNY when we got home.

The "Special K" moniker used by Cachina Robinson might stick. Kaleena is one helluva player, both ends of the court.

My impression at the game was that Geno substituted freely in the first half to keep everyone fresh and if that was his plan, it worked. Second half GT players were on their heels and committing lots of "tired" fouls (reach-ins, etc.) while the Huskies still had lots of pep in their step. I think the proverbial dagger in the heart occurred at the outset of the second half when UConn drilled two treys right off the bat. That seemed to have a demoralizing effect on GT.

If UConn plays like they did second half, they will beat anyone. Machine-like precision.

Seems to me that the rotation is now seven (starters plus Kiah and "Special K") and that Banks is on the cusp, almost ready to claim meaningful PT.

I have my tix for the Notre Dame game and wish it were played tomorrow.

Harder to get Bob confused as well. K Special, anyone?

Larry Kenon from Memphis State circa 1974 and then the ABA was an earlier "Special K."

Kalana Greene had previously been called Special K but it never stuck.
