He talks about UConn offering him and its relevant because he said he wants to visit.
 
Jerry Meyer seems to think he is heading to Cuse. They played a voicemail in that clip and sounded like Boeheim.
 
It was Boeheim, that was interesting. Maybe I'm just naive, but he came off as sleazy, just like the movie blue chips. I honestly could never picture KO talking to a recruit like that on a VM. Did any of you guys get the same feeling?
 
Looks like a hard worker and a talented player. If the refs don't call those carries it will help him.

I don't think that would even register on the sleaziness scale. I can't even imagine some of the stuff these kids hear from coaches. There is pretty much nothing that would surprise me.

Plus, it sounded like Boeheim had a reason to ramp up the "intensity" of that particular voicemail, since he was responding to a suggestion that Joseph didn't know how serious Syracuse was in recruiting him.
 
It sounds like he likes syracuse, I rather have Perkins but what do you think the chances are we get this kid?
 
The used car salesman approach by Boeheim. Talking about all his lemons err draft picks over the last couple of years.
 
Joseph has referred to Syr as his dream school in the past, hopefully we get Perkins

I think we have a very good chance with Perkins, who I want more, and a good chance with Joseph. I just love how Perkins seems to be an effortless passer and can hit shots when he has to.
 
Hope he doesn't drive to Storrs for the visit......yikes!:eek:

Good kid though, like him....good piece on him!

JB was a little over the top in his VM huh.....
 
Not that I would mind if he wants to use an official, but I thought he has already visited Storrs a few times unofficially.

Cuse fans think they have him, if they want him. They also thought Briscoe would verbal the past 2 years and now it looks like Arizona is in the lead for him. Recruiting is so much fun.

Give me one of Kaleb Joseph, Josh Perkins, or Jordan McLaughlin (in no order).
Then add one (at least) of Devin Robinson, Kelly Oubre or Kameron Chatman (ditto).
For good measure throw in one (at least) of the PF's of Leron Black, AMA, or Looney (ditto).
Finally, Pascal Chukwu, Goodluck O. or Myles Turner (most to least likely for the centers).

I don't know if UConn is going to recruit (hard) any SG's but I would love Carrington.

That would be a Fab Five recruiting class. If we get a point guard and a big man from that group I'll be satisfied. Hitting every position would be fabulous.

okay, maybe not sleazy but certainly over the top in my opinion.

Boeheim should just tell the truth. All of his hard work will pay off in the NDBL if he goes to Syracuse.

Did anyone expect anything different from Boeheim? I can only imagine his negative recruiting tactics.
 
Also, I find it funny he jokingly called KJ "soft." Actually coach your players are too soft and lazy to play man to man defense.
