Sorry, I have to disagree here. Yes, Gabby has a wonderful upside but Kiah just completely changes the complexion of a game. I don't think she has to get better to make the dynamic contribution that she makes. I feel totally confident when she's in the game. Her intimidation factor alone disturbs the offensive flow of the other team.

Someone else mentioned her timing and body position. On the defensive end she reminds me so much of the great Bill Russell

Sorry I didn't finish my post. On the defensive she reminds me so much of the great Bill Russell. Her body control is poetry in motion. The number of blocks and rebounds she gets in the context of minutes played is amazing. Sure I get frustrated sometimes watching her on the offensive end but even if she doesn't make significant improvements here, I'll gladly take her as she is.

But in Geno we trust. He as his reasons for playing her how and when he does. But no matter how you spin it, she is a very, very integral part of this team.

I think we need to give her a break. Kiah's field goal stats are 27 for 48, 56.3%. Only Gabby 64.8%, and Kia 57.6% are better. She's also 16/19 on FTs, .842. Granted, some of her forehead smackers make it seem like she never makes a shot. But she's doing enough on the offensive end so that the opposition has to guard her, and we have plenty of offensive firepower to compensate. Is it really as bad as we make it seem?

At the risk of repeating myself, this woman can be an offensive force if she uses the same approach to O as she does with D. Don't overthink the shot. She clearly is not doing that when she blocks multiple attempts by opponents.

We know she can do it because we have seen her do it. Now she just needs to get hers consistently.

Improvements that I am noticing are that she is holding the ball longer and being more patient looking for open players on offense. Looking to score on offensive rebounds. She is also posting up with more commitment and desire to receive the ball. Who has a better body for basketball than her?

Yeah, but Beast we UConn fans are insatiable - we never have enough defense and offense to satisfy our bloodlust for total WCBB domination. And now that Kiah has shown us her beautifully stroked three....

So, an addendum: I'm wasting my day watching last year's C'ship Game and with 1:40 to go in the first half Steph flips it in to Kiah about 5 feet straight out from the hoop, and she coolly takes a step back and put up this soft, sweet 2 points. That's what I mean, Kiah....just do it and let's wreck the WCBB for another year.
