Looking at this video makes you realize how god-damn awesome Kemba was in 2011. I mean, what DIDN'T HE DO!? He was a leader, a scorer, a passer, a defender, a clutch assassin, and a CHAMPION.

JUST how AMAZING was his 2011 season? You could EASILY fill a top10 countdown of just HIS top plays from the season. Point taken:

Honorable mention: The ultimate hustle play -- the run-down block from behind vs UK in Final 4.

10) Awesome use of fake screen and the blow by on Siva for the deuce off the backboard vs UL in BET Championship (3:03 in vid above)

9) Works off the screen, stop and go fake jumper for the easy lay-up vs Cuse in BET (1:27 in first vid above)

8) Ridiculous dribbling, weaves by 3 guys and dishes to Lamb who lays it in for the game-winning bucket vs UL in the BET Championship (3:32 in vid above)

7) Pickpockets Siva and takes it the distance for the 1 handed jam in BET Championship vs UL (52 secs in vid above)

6) Fade-away jumper while BLANKETED by Waiters vs Cuse in BET (2:40 in vid above)

5) Heaved 3 pointer in OT vs Texas as shot clock expires (1:04 in vid above)

4) Game-winning jumper in OT vs Texas

3) Pass off the backboard to himself for the easy bucket vs Georgetown (7 sec in first vid above)

1) It's obvious. Ankle-breaking step-back game winner vs Pitt. How often do you get an ankle breaker and a buzzer beater in one play? (23 secs in first vid above)


What a player. What a year. I miss him. No homo (maybe only a little)

Man, Doug Wrenn had some crazy ups and he brought the thunder on every dunk. Wish he would have listened to Calhoun.
