It was truly hideous, and, too long to boot.

It's gotten so that if it isn't one of the Academies playing at home, I'll just skip that part, and keep my blood pressure at a manageable level...

Ice, today's version of "Gold Bless America" was a little shattering also.....thought the performers had to pass an audition....guess not.

Apologies, I was merely hoping that the person who is singing at the microphone and hopefully leading the attendees in singing the national anthem, or in the 7th, God Bless America, would do it properly and with respect. In our area, the local AA team has singers try out to sing these songs, in order to insure same.

I missed the game, but Constantine Maroulis, Tony nominee and star of the Jekyll & Hyde Broadway musical was scheduled to sing the national anthem. During the seventh-inning stretch, Alli Mauzey of the Broadway hit Wicked was scheduled to perform "God Bless America."

I believe he was a past contestant on American Idol. Well that's what you get when you have "Drama Queens" (no he is not gay) singing the National Anthem. Each one tries to out do the other. They would be better off sticking to Instrumentals or Choirs.

God awful. Put headphones on Taliban prisoners and play that for an hour. You will get all the information you need from them.

Different take on it, but not bad. I've heard much, much worse.
