I will continue to watch college football, but it will be a passing interest. The passion is gone for me.

As a die hard and very rah rah guy, I am beginning to feel the same sad to say.

A wage paid to players that was the same at all schools was the way to go.

The under the table bags of money would just come back. But I like your premise.

Agree, maybe NIL money should not be paid out until season end, if a uninjured player sits out. A situation this year where FLA ST is left out of the NC due to a QB injury but many others getting invites to prestigious bowls and have star players simply sitting out.

As problematic as the AP vs. Coaches polls were to determine the national champion, the games, pageantry, and bowls of the 80s and 90s were great. Now with playoffs driving realignment (due to getting that auto id) and TV deals giving rise to NIL to force a paid student athlete paradigm, the sport has become a farce.
