Geno clearly likes these international players who seem to have strong work ethics and are less caught up in all of the hype......that should keep him a bit more stress free........unless they're all like Nika...... ☺️

Ahh, I understand that they might have played together, but historically Serbs and Croats have had a checked history (many decades before either of these two young ladies were born). At this point in history, it's probably more like driving in Tennessee with a UConn bumper sticker on your car.

Ahh, I understand that they might have played together, but historically Serbs and Croats have had a checked history (many decades before either of these two young ladies were born). At this point in history, it's probably more like driving in Tennessee with a UConn bumper sticker on your car.

I'm well aware, having visited that region over the years.........it was a brutal conflict which hopefully won't be repeated....

Not a verbal - she signed her LOI and Geno has openly commented about her (doesn't happen without a LOI in hand.)

I do like this signing - I think foreign players have better team skills based on spending their time practicing and playing on stable teams and not having the AAU circuit with pick-up all-star teams that seldom actually practice as a team. And while the skill level overseas isn't as great as in US HS/AAU play for pre-college, the experience playing against older professional players is a positive.

The team has enjoyed having international players. Makes for a broadening of their exposure and some players might find their professional home in Europe or Asia. If we pick up Okeke, it will be an international class!

Yes!! The first thing I noticed is her CC resemblance. The second thing I noticed was her Serbian league stats were Caitlin Clarkesk. Maybe and hopefully a clone.

• Geno had 3 scholarships available this year. The Big O & Jovana account for 2 of them. I suspect that Okeke may be #3, and we may not know about her until next spring. If I am correct, then UConn did not offer either Bjorn or Robinson.
• For some reason I see Nika’s fingerprints all over this recent surge of recruits with connections to Eastern Europe.
• Geno typically lets everyone know when he’s done recruiting for the year. No word so far may just mean there’s one more recruit (Okeke?) yet to commit.

seems like a great addition. Can go left or right when attacking the basket, aggressive, shoots and hits 3's. got a mid-range game, can handle the ball and pass.
My only question is the level of competition on those videos (very little defense is played against her) but seems like she's got all the tools to be great in the UConn system.

No, he definitely offered both of them and Bjorn came to Storrs for her official visit from Oct 16-19. There's no confirmation that Robinson visited.

I like it! We have one scholarship left. If there is a big....from anywhere... who Geno thinks is
good enough...I say go for her!

Haven't checked any video on Jovana yet but the stories sound borderline great. Point guard who can score....her field
goal percentages from two/trey and foul line are excellent...don't know how long a period that was referring to.

Two years with Sara... three with Olivia and Blanca!

Won't it be 3 with Blanca and 4 with Olivia?

She had the first triple-double in Euro U-18 in 12+ years, with 22/14/12. She was 1st team all league in U-18 as a 16 year-old.

Here’s why I struggle with that. Clearly, the Big O had an offer for some time, and Jovana’s offer didn’t happen in the past few days. That only leaves one other potential offer between Bjorn, Robinson & Okeke.
