Josh Burnett - Men's Soccer - University of Connecticut Athletics

Another big blow for the men's soccer team for the 2019 season as Josh Burnett is no longer enrolled in the university. There have been rumors of him trying to play professional but most people believe he will transfer. Burnett was a top recruit for UConn, in his freshman season last year he started 17/18 games in the midfield and 15/19 this year. Given Burnett's talent level this is a loss for UConn but doesn't necessarily come as a surprise to any in the program. Burnett never saw eye to eye with the coaching staff that became more and more obvious last fall. This adds to an already depleted roster for the 2019 season which has already lost:
Munir Saleh
Jacob Houser
Abdou
Dylan Greenberg
Austin Aviza

*Also expected to leave:
Nkosi Burgess

That is 7 players who have all been starters at one point for UConn that will not be returning for the 2019 season

Nothing new at UConn or in college soccer in general
However, UConn seems to lose so many good young players
The loss of Saleh, Burnett, Abdou and Greenie are bad enough.............
Not seeing eye to eye with the staff - always becoming an issue in last 1/2 dozen years
