I don’t think there’s a ‘27 kid that I want more.
She's always been up there for me. Wilson-Manyacka has supplanted her because she's a better athlete and thus I think has an even higher upside. And if Smith would work in a structured UConn system she'd could be Moriah Jefferson-ish.
In a paywalled article in On3, Palmer calls being recruited by Dawn Staley and SC "a dream come true". So there's that.I don’t think there’s a ‘27 kid that I want more.
Last season I felt Palmer was the best player in that class. Then I got a good look at Manyacka and yikes. While I would love to see UConn get Palmer, I think it's probably unrealistic. I don't see both of these kids with very comparable size and skills going to the same school and I believe UConn has a very good shot at Manyacka. Plus there's Palmer's stated excitement about her SC recruitment.I may have fibbed a bit, you’re right about IWM. She’s the perfect blend of size and athleticism, like Blanca.
Jordyn just reminds me a lot of my favorite player (LeBron). While not quite as athletic as Ivanna, she uses her size & strength so well, really shifty and is a great facilitator.
What’s not to like is Palmer saying that being recruited by Staley is “a dream come true”.Smooth, powerful, poised, and seemingly always under control....what's not to like?
I'm only referring to her BB skills on the court. I have no idea what any recruit may be thinking about her ultimate destination. What’s not to like is Palmer saying that being recruited by Staley is “a dream come true”.
Wow! The evaluations above are just that! From Pa....wonder if she might be in Hartford today?
