This kid understands the value of Uconn

“UConn’s coming to my school either this week or next week,” Tucker said. “I like the way they make their players better. They produce pros. I want to go somewhere where they’re going to prepare you for the next level.”

As for Indiana, Tucker said he didn’t know much.

“I actually don’t know a lot about Indiana,” he said.

This kind of puts the entire 'Is UConn a blue blood?' discussion to rest. It doesn't matter if we are considered blue blood or not. Kids looking for a program now can see what UConn has done both in winning championships and putting kids in the league. Indiana and UCLA haven't won a title since before any current recruit was even born, forget about being old enough to remember the last one. Connecticut has three since current recruits were 6 and 2 since they were 13. Blue bloods may be all that for old guys discussing the best all time programs, but UConn, UNC, Kentucky and Duke are the 4 kids think of as winning multiple titles and putting players into the league (and even Duke is starting to slip into ancient history for multiple titles).
