Johnson out indefinitely

I think Karaban would have ran have away with the starting spot before his injury. So I think Samson Johnson's Wally Pipp moment just got Wally Pipp'd

Pleasantly surprised with what I'm seeing from Springs.
The early Spring / s report is very encouraging for a great growing season. He has played like a vet with great baseline drives. Springs also knows the system well and the players tendences among his teammates. He is no late transfer filling a void but a solid player who has earned his time. Go Springs grow!

Is this version of "indefinitely" anything like or completely different from the one applied to Zach Freemantle's disciplinary suspension last month?

Is there any other kind of indefinitely?

We are good. Also, Springs must be getting torched at practice, he reminds of Facey and Whaley not getting the time he should. He definitely can contribute

I not only played in one of CT basketball top programs but I also work in sports. But yeah, I have no clue how basketball works.
Consider, then, that many who remain silent on your comment will have simply chosen to regard your second sentence as a humbly offered admission rather than sarcasm.

Everybody wins. Go Huskies.

Hate to see anyone injured and missing PT but this is a blessing in disguise for AK and Springs
Have to step in and step up
Hope Johnson heals well

By the way when I say like 2017 I mean injuries wise. Not performance wise. We were playing with 8 guys at one point and lost Terry Larrier and Alterique Gilbert at the beginning of the year.

uphill climb in front of you.
clearly, nobody, or very few, here currently play ball, and im of the mind that those who did, did it back in peach basket daze, or before the 3 ball was a thing.
good luck!

Yes/No

When Freemantle came back from suspension rather quickly, there were those who expresseded surprised that it was so short a period of time, as well as those who offered an intolerant, "What do you think the definition of 'indefinitely' is?" vibe that implied it could easily be seen as a brief suspension.

And with Johnson, the presumption seems to revert back toward, "Ooh, that's gonna be a long time without him playing."

I worded my comment as a question, because I could sense a difference between that might be affected by nature of what might keep a player out, and by whether it was a UConn player or one from a conference foe.

Duke suspended Grayson Allen indefinitely but came back after one game

Sometimes I feel like indefinitely can mean whatever you want it to mean.

In regards to Wally Pipp, Karaban is going to do what he does and fill the role Hurley is going to put him. He does everything well. Samson would have been nice to have for front court depth plus his shooting range and shot blocking capability. I hope he can get back to help in the second half of the season. I think they are not competing for the same position at this point. Karaban is more of a 3 imo.

But I thought we clarified that Johnson out indefinitely can land you in trouble?
Between this and the Akok comment, I'm now stuck with a mental image of Craig Ferguson calling a hoops game with Meghan McPeak.

Is his absence really a loss? I did not see much of anything in his game on Monday, other than long arms...I thought he looked uncomfortable and a bit lost on defense... To me he seemed stunned by the speed of the game. That being said, I wish him a speedy recovery from whatever the ailment is in his foot.
