Nothing really new or earth shattering...
He basically feels Heather will be the 11th player off the bench (me - this is not to say she won't be solid and would easily start on many college teams)
He thinks L'ville will be a perennial powerhouse (me - if by "perennial powerhouse" he means usually in the top 25 and sometimes in the top 10, then I agree. If he thinks they will be locks for elite 8's every year, then I disagree)
He thinks the starters will be Dolson, Stewart, KML, Faris and Hartley (I disagree - there is no scenario where Doty does NOT start)
He hopes UCONN ends up in the ACC. He said UCONN in general is probably lighting candles (in prayer) that they get invited (I totally agree)
He believes Dolson will be an offensive force this year (can't wait to see that!). He also said of all the players, he expects her to have the "breakout" year...
He said KML is in good shape, but not great shape. Didn't want to comment about her "body" which I get. Like DT, she could be in exceptional shape and she would never look the same as Maya Moore...
A few posters said that Maya and Dee were the best of all time and his comment was "come talk to me after you've seen Breanna for 4 years - she's that good"...
He said Brianna Banks' confidence is soaring and it's showing in her play (we read an article or 2 about that on here)
Anyway, that was pretty much it. A lot of chitter chatter with other posters about one thing or another (I don't think that many people were logged on). Didn't see anything that I haven't seen already posted on the board or in other articles we've read about. No one asked him about recruiting so he had no comments on that.

One other thing, the games look like they will be shown through Husky Vision again this year but you will have to pay the monthly fee to get the games.

I had to go back and count, but we have 11 kids on the team this year. Maybe my brain is filled with cotton, I don't understand what you meant. John was saying she's the last player off the bench which I think will be the case this year...ERIC : if Heather is the "11th player off the bench," she'll be coming in after the trainers and managers.
Having said that, when he wants to rest the starters in a total blowout, i'd guess he'd end up with Jefferson, Banks, Tuck, Buck and Stokes on the court together (sitting Stewart with the starters)... There are only a small handful of teams in the entire nation who could beat the aforementioned team if they were our starters... I think we are going to see a lot of 50+ point victories this year... And a lot of work on our half court offense...

Hi ERIC: I'd say your brain is one of the least cotton-filled among the many fine brains on here. Was just pulling your leg, in this fashion: if the five starters are not considered to be coming off the bench, you've got only six subs plus trainers, managers, coaches on or near the bench. Your right about 11 players total, starters plus bench.
I share your enthusiasm and optimism re the upcoming season for sure.....though at the same time I see alot of powerful teams out there, both currently formed AND others BEING formed with some stellar recruit classes in more than one or two places......so while I can see some blow-outs for sure, I find it hard to envision anything near cake-walks to NCs this year or in the next three. But will be pulling and hoping for a string of em. (Think if the string we'd be in the middle of right now if YKW had either stayed OR not verballed in the first place so that we could have picked up another quality big girl.) Stay well.,

I agree. Hartley, Doty, KML, Faris, Dolson will start.
I think she already broke out her Freshman year. Sophmored slumped, but this year she's gonna have a great year.
I've been saying that for awhile. Stewart isn't in the Bird, Cash, Sales, Abrosimova, etc. group (which would be great), she's in the DT and Maya group.

#1 Eric's breakdown of John's chat today is excellent! John who does "hate" talking about future recuiting did not have to deal with that! It did not come up. I read the entire chat
