From John's blog: http://courantblogs.com/uconn-women/
"Normally, I do not dabble in recruiting rumors. They come, they go. They choose UConn, they don’t. Usually, things work out pretty well for Geno and the Huskies.
But I always say, there is no time like the present to start getting excited about the Class of 2015 and there are whispers going around that a UConn assistant has been assigned to take a look at this promising freshman.
Here is here brief profile on her from the archives of MSG Varsity:

F Soniya Chong, Fr., Ossining (Ossining, N.Y.) – Just a couple games into her high school career, the Fabulous Freshman has impressed many prognosticators in this area. Chong is averaging 23 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists thus far and registered 28 points in a loss against top-ranked Mount Vernon this week. She did however, miss eight free throws. Once she corrects that blemish, Chong could blossom into a special player.
Memo to John: It's Saniya and she's a junior, Class of 2013, not a freshman.
