Add to that, the game Purdue plays on Wednesday is against Georgia Tech, no Colgate.

To my understanding UConn charters anyway. I know the holiday trips are different but the charter thing was part of the recruiting pitch.

I remember watching a show called under the shell and it followed UMD team and they were at the airport with all their bags and there flight was delayed. It was snowing and they were just lounging in the airport trying to sleep waiting on a flight to be available. I was thinking that it must suck to have to fly commercial and coach for that matter.

They did fly commercial in 2005. Which I suspect played a part in the decision. This year the lines and process was manageable, but in 2005, it was as big a mess as I've seen (not counting a blizzard in Chicago).

In some ways, it feels like an appropriate gift to the whiney Purdue coach who brushed aside Geno after the game... Maybe she forgot his Italian connections?!?

I'm pretty sure UCONN flew SOME commercial flights last year (I seem to remember that Geno was trying to set an example).
That said, if the door to door is only $40K (RT), charter sounds like a smart deal.

I don't believe they flew charter at the last Paradise Jam...some players ended up on our flight, but not all of them.

John should have chartered a plane himself. I saw him at the airport - he got rerouted and is taking the long way home. He told me he won't be home until midnight.
