Who is the anonymous source?
Who is this Final Four Deep Throat?
We need to find him or her and learn the truth to protect the delicate psyche of all the coach's players.
And we must discover:
What did Bruiser say?
And where did she say it?

Okay, seriously, if it's true it is bush. But it's a year ago, either way it's time to move on.
I'm looking forward to an exciting Big East tournament.

Much ado about nothing. This really smacks of being trivial nonsense and not worthy of our team, our coaches or our fans. There are more important things to focus on...like playing the game of basketball, and supporting our team. Go Huskies!!

No sale. Geno and CD don't lie and they don't exaggerate. Period.

Next, she claims she's just now hearing about it in Finland. That contradicts Muffett's statements and timeline about Geno informing her last May and Muffett addressing it with her players.

And whatever security was present are not tasked with keeping players wearing unis/warm-ups separated, they're in the arena tunnels making sure only properly credentialed individuals have access.

Lastly, she admits to uttering a watered-down version of "it sucks, blah, blah, blah.....". She also characterizes herself as being the teams "attitude", yet would have folks believe that she transforms into an angel the moment she steps off the court. I guess we're to believe that "Ms. Attitude" had full composure and no lingering adrenaline pumping as she walked down the tunnel following her team's nat'l semi-final victory over their arch-rival.

I believe Bruszewski as much as I'd believe Bill Lambert offering the same story.

I dont care if the story is true or not. It was last year and this is this year. We should all move on. Even if the girl did say, so what?! We kicked ND's butt every year up until the FF and this year for the past 4-5 years. So they are better than us this year, good for them! UCONN is a better program hands down and we all know that UCONN will win a few more NCs. ND might get to the game.

In my experiences with such security this has been absolutely true. Security isn't with babysitting the competitors.

If UCONN were beating ND I doubt that this would be an issue. This discussion probably brings joy to ND fans.

Truthfully, who cares...this only happens in women's basketball. Do you think this would happen in the men's game? If it did...the next time the teams played it would be taken care of on the hardwood...nobody punks on anybody without there being pay back on the court. It doesn't become a media ping pong game. The important thing is that ND kicked the tar out of us between the lines. We have to make adjustments, we have to rise up and be competitive. There is still a lot of basketball to be played if our players are up to it. We have a conference tournament, we have the NCAAs. ND has shown it has the toughness to be one of the favorites for a championship.... I would say as it stands now...

Baylor - 80 percent chance

ND - 75 percent chance

UConn - 40 percent chance

Stanford - 35 percent chance
----------------------------------------------
Stanford had a better shot than ND.. The "O" sisters (don't know how to spell their last name ) would kill ND's Peter and other post players IMO

I'm a little confused about the timing of all this, but I believe this is the timeline (correct me if I'm wrong):

So, the timeline for this is that right after the Final Four game, something happened between Notre Dame and UConn. Geno brought the incident to the attention of Muffet and the Big East in May. Muffet asked her players and they denied it. Now, in February, Geno mentions that there is "bad blood" between the teams on his show because of an "incident" that happened. Then, the press gets a hold of this, and an unnamed "source" releases the name and the context of the "incident" to the press. Now, the UConn players are staying mum, ND is playing dumb about the whole thing, and Becca is saying that it was a misunderstanding. This all sounds to me like this was settled in May, but that Geno was still a little miffed so he made a comment on his show that blew up and then the "source" just threw gasoline on the fire.

Honestly, whether it's true or not, I think the press needs to let this one go. The player that was supposedly involved is long gone and according to the article it was brought to the attention of the Big East and Muffet way back in May; there is no need to bring this stuff up. I'm not sure what Geno was trying to accomplish by mentioning it, but it seems to me that this should all just be put to rest.
Wait a minute, I remember this story from an episode of Seinfeld!!
