Job Posting: Assistant Men's Basketball Coach (Specialist 1A)

Bachelor’s degree; two years of full-time coaching experience working within a men’s collegiate Division I basketball program; demonstrated experience in the recruitment and development of outstanding student-athletes; working knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, teaching, communication and public relations skills.

Does this mean Geno wouldn't even be qualified to be the men's assistant?

Well at least that confirms it's a done deal (which we suspected as pointed out by @Chin Diesel when the job was officially posted).
 
Job has been posted a couple days now; wouldn't be surprised if we hear something later today.

That makes a lot of sense...I was thinking it needed to be posted for a minimum of 48 hours, but it's probably 72.

I'm certain Hurley already has his guy but it can't be announced until the job posting period is complete. So we probably will hear something next week.

Webster is kinda held back recruiting huge names bc of VTech. He could probably get a notch up here at UConn. Think he knows that too. He recruited pretty much all of Hurleys commits and missed out. Think he would close the deal here. In terms of Freeman, I just think he’s a last resort. Outside of coaching bigs no real DMV connection

I know VATech is technically DMV but I associate it more with Appalachia than Northeast Megapolis

No disrespect to KFree if he’s not the hire. Hurley kept him on from KO’s staff but maybe needs more time at first gig as assistant coach? He also doesn’t have DMV historic footprint. But, don’t misunderstand Chief likes KFree and he has a bright future, in my humble opinion.
