Jimmy V ticket prices

They are steep, and no courtside seats available at all. Although I'm certain they would be too pricey for me

Looks like Florida, BYU and Clemson are bringing fans to the city for the Holidays

Clemson definitely not. Florida I could see some but not a crazy amount. BYU has Mormons everywhere so I can see that but not much more than we saw in Boston which wasn’t a ton.

Hotel room prices are insane
I opted for a sublet from an underground WhatsApp group. NYC propped up the hotel industry by eliminating short term Airbnbs and this is what we get. $650/nt 3 star midweek hotel rooms.

I think I got an email from MSG or TM about a discount on tix, but I can't find it. Does anybody else have it?

That’s nuts. What about staying in Hoboken. Easy path or ferry ride from msg

I agree with you but on the other hand many coops were complaining since many of the owners of apartments were illegally doing airbnbs rentals. If i was living in one of those buildings I would have been pissed. The Condo building I live in Miami only allows rental periods of 1 year or longer.

I mean December in NYC is a HUGE tourist season. Hotels this time of the year have always been insane.
No question. Though when I was booking, even next week was considerably cheaper. ChatGPT chalked it up to corporate holiday parties. And then you eliminate supply from short-term Airbnbs...

Not this insane, e.g. Holiday Inn Express Chelsea $725+

... usually the same (or similar hotels around MSG) are $300-450 in December, and through the holidays ... as much as I love and attend MSG games (and preparties at Legend's), I'll be watching this year on TV

I’ve attended several games at MSG over the past many years. I’ve found the best time to buy is the evening before the event.
... or the day of the event

that advice goes for every single event (except the Super Bowl) and arena in the US ... all day, every day

Watched Messi prices on Saturday, could have snagged a ticket for pennies on the dollar, 4 hours before game time - and the stadium is only 6 miles away

It appears, 48+ hours out, that the lowest price ticket is now $74 w/ fees

Going there sec 115 wearing Newton shirt next to my friend who wears Castle shirt. Both away jerseys (blue) but we might be dining during the first game, get there for the last ~5min then be fired up for U-C-O-N-N UConn! UConn! UConn!

So, I live in northern New Jersey (Bergen County) BUT for CT people:

Stay at a motel/hotel in Secaucus or East Rutherford, uber to the Secaucus Junction train station, and take a $10/12 minute train ride directly into Penn Station. Then, you have a 2 minute walk into MSG. Reverse it to get back to Jersey after the game.

For MSG games, I park at Secaucus Junction ($30) and take the 12 minute train ride into Penn Station. Easy for me because I live in Jersey 30 minutes from Secaucus Junction.

TIP - Enter MSG at one of the smaller side entrances to the arena. It takes 1 minutes to go through security.

100% you will get cheaper seats, however, I have also found that I get both BETTER seats at a cheaper price the late evening before the event, especially for a 12:30 pm start time.

This is actually freaking INSANE. I have never seen anything like this. As recently as a year or two ago you could get a weeknight hotel for $300.

You have to imagine that something will be done about this, unless the uber wealthy continue to buy rooms at these prices then no normal person can travel to New York.

I’m sorry to yall trying to find a place to stay for the game.

Every msg game involves some sleeplessness. We will get on the train back to stamfird with an hour plus drive home after. 3am to bed with a victory in hand.
