File this one under the premise that “There's no such thing as bad publicity”;

i love that he won it…but does he deserve it over Marcus Freeman at ND? I mean..ND is a top 4 team. Or…are we pretending ND isn’t an independent.

Is this just for coaches in the greater Boston area or is it for coaches in the whole country?

Why does Mike DeLong look like he's surprised to be caught coaching football?

Why do Independents get lumped in with the Pac12?
Next year there are only be 2 independent FBS programs. I guess they could trade awards back and forth between the two schools. My guess adding the PAC12 provides at least / more teams to choose from.

Are you pretending ND didn't lose to NIU? UConn beat all the teams they were supposed to, ND didn't.
Silly argument. ND will likely be a top 4 playoff team. I don’t think they were picked to be there pre-season.

Or, …are some people pretending Freeman with a home loss to NIU and 3, maybe 4 wins against highly respected, quality opponents, truly deserves ND’s ranking?
